The course focuses on the materials review, core competency, and hands on demonstration.
Key learning points
Adult basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest (VF, pVT, PEA, Asystole)
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia, tachycardia, etc
Basic and advanced airway management
Related pharmacology
Management of Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) and stroke
Effective communication as a member and a leader of a resuscitation team
Invaluable resuscitation tips from our faculty and more...

Which course is right for me
This program offers ACLS for health professionals and ACLS for experienced providers.
ACLS for Experienced Providers goes beyond the core ACLS training by offering critical thinking opportunities for those advanced, experienced, healthcare professionals who use ACLS on a regular basis. The goal of ACLS EP is to improve outcomes in complex cardiovascular, respiratory and other (e.g., metabolic, toxicologic) emergencies by expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies.

ACLS for health professionals

For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

What does ACLS for health professional teach?
Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
Airway management
Related pharmacology
Management of ACS and stroke
Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

ACLS for experienced providers:

For those who are proficient in performing BLS and ACLS skills, reading and interpreting ECGs, understanding ACLS pharmacology; and who regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of pre-arrest, arrest, or post arrest patients

What does ACLS for experienced providers teach?
Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating use of an AED
Recognize and manage respiratory arrest
Recognize and manage cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including post–cardiac arrest care

Prerequisites
For all healthcare providers where ACLS is required for their workplace requirement/scope of practice.
Also, students of health care programs (i.e., RN Students, Medical Students, NP Students, PA Students, etc.,) may also attend this program.

Course Overview

This program highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, care systems, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysthymia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). You will learn the immediate actions, including adult BLS, when a patient enters cardiac arrest. This is a common credential required by most facilities.
Key Learning outcomes
Define systems of care.
How the use of a rapid response team (RRT) or medical emergency team (MET) can improve patient outcomes.
Recognize and manage Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), stroke, respiratory arrest, and cardiac arrest.
Recognize bradycardia and tachycardia that may result in cardiac arrest.
Perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care.
Evaluate resuscitative efforts.
Learning Methods
Hands-On Training: Practice real-life scenarios using individual and team approaches.
Online Learning: Self-paced modules with additional resources and instant feedback.
Flipped-Classroom: Engaging content delivery for active learning.
Textbook
Online modules
Live Simulation
Patient experience videos
Interactive lecture
Electronic testing
Audience
All healthcare providers where ACLS is required for their workplace requirement/scope of practice. Additionally, students of health care programs (i.e., RN Students, Medical Students, NP Students, PA Students, etc., may also attend this program), and more. If you are taking this course for the first time or your ACLS credential has lapsed, this course is for you.
Completion Requirements
To earn yourACLS verification, you must have;
1. Sign-in on the course roster.

Important Tips
Register Early: Ensure to register at least 30 days in advance to give yourself ample time to prepare and review course materials.
Consider eBook Option: If you're ordering a textbook for the ACLS course and there's uncertainty about its delivery time, consider opting for an eBook instead. Delivery of the eBook typically takes 3-5 business days via email, which ensures you can access the material promptly.
Check Zoom Functionality: Make sure Zoom is fully installed and functional on your device before the course. Test it to ensure there are no issues with audio or video.
Use Stable Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable WiFi connection to avoid interruptions during the course. A poor connection can affect your learning experience, especially during practical simulations.
Device Recommendation: A desktop or laptop is strongly recommended for the course to ensure an optimal experience. Mobile devices might not offer the same functionality and ease for interactive sections.
Prepare for Hands-on Practice: If the course includes virtual hands-on practice, ensure you have space available and any necessary materials or equipment ready for use.
